Director Staff

As a member of the MSC Spencer Leadership Conference Staff, students agree to adhere to the following staff policies and guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns about staff expectations, please contact the Chair and/or Advisor.

Director Meetings
Attendance is mandatory. All staff are required to:

  1. Arrive on Time
  2. Attend meeting for the duration
  3. Notify the Chair prior to the meeting if you will be absent, late, or need to leave early 
  4. Be prepared to work through meeting agendas
  5. Prepare program ideas/assignments prior to meeting
  6. Eliminate all distractions and activities not pertaining directly to the business of the organization (cell phones, laptops, etc.)

Active Participation
All staff must fulfill the obligations listed for their specific position. Additionally, each staff member agrees to:

  1. Approach everything respectfully and with an open mind
  2. Have a clear understanding of assigned tasks
  3. Accomplish assigned tasks by their specific deadline date
  4. Provide clear and complete reports
  5. Think critically about issues and proposed events within the committee
  6. Ask questions
  7. Assist in all marketing efforts

Conference Roles

  1. Serve as a role model and resource to sophomores
  2. Facilitate dialogue among small groups
  3. Maintain professional attitudes and behaviors in all Spencer-related interactions
