Who is a Spencer Delegate
Traits of a Spencer Delegate:
-
Spencer delegates are driven sophomore students who actively serve the community around them and want to positively impact the world.
-
Delegates value the role of education and the opportunities they have at Texas A&M and will have beyond their collegiate career.
-
A Spencer delegate wants to grow individually so that they may live, learn, and experience life as a true leader does; as a WHOLE person.
-
He or she understands that leading is not the opposite of following; they are both a part of the same process (Mitchell, 1997).
-
MSC Spencer Leadership Conference delegates are among best students that Texas A&M University has to offer.
Development of Spencer Delegates:
MSC Spencer Leadership Conference strives to assist delegates in becoming better leaders after the conference than they were before. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet many prominent business leaders and community icons. The speakers they encounter will touch on topics of ethics, persistence, service, diversity, as well as many others. The MSC Spencer Leadership Conference understands that leaders develop over time and we do not intend to transform delegates in four days, rather we seek to expose them to people, opportunities, and experiences to enhance their abilities as they grow.
